Hello again. I am Jennifer from Jennifer Mosse Design an Interior Designer based in Bath, Somerset, UK. I love to round up my top tips, share my Interior Design Advice and experiences here for your all to enjoy.
In today’s fast-paced world, our homes have become more than just places to eat and sleep—they’re sanctuaries, places to recharge, and extensions of who we are.
The Role of Interior Design in Wellbeing
Good design is more than beautiful furniture or a perfectly placed accessory; it’s about creating a space that supports your lifestyle and nurtures your sense of self. Wellbeing in the home begins with understanding how we interact with our environment. Every detail—colour, texture, layout, and lighting—shapes our mood and mindset.
Colour Therapy
Colour has an incredible ability to influence how we feel and our overall wellbeing. Soft blues and greens evoke calmness and connection to nature, while warm tones like terracotta and ochre create a welcoming and cosy atmosphere. At Jennifer Mosse Design based in Bath, Somerset, I work with my clients to find colours that resonate with their personalities and enhance the mood of each room.

Texture and Layers
Here at Jennifer Mosse Design, based in Bath, Somerset, we are lucky enough to have a wealth of handmade crafts, textiles and furniture here on our doorstep which I love to explore when focusing on wellbeing in the home. I enjoy nothing more than exploring what's on offer and discovering new brands to use in my Interior Design projects. I believe a home should embrace all the senses. Mixing soft linens, textured woods, and smooth metals adds depth and character to a space, making it feel lived-in and comforting. Layers of textiles, such as rugs, cushions, and throws, invite you to relax while adding a touch of luxury.

Lighting as a Mood Enhancer
Lighting isn’t just functional; it sets the tone for your day. From natural light pouring into a breakfast nook to the warm glow of a table lamp in the evening, every light source contributes to the ambience of your home. Thoughtfully placed lighting can energise, soothe, or inspire, depending on your needs.
Creating Personal Sanctuaries
No two homes are the same because no two people are the same. Your home should reflect your personality, lifestyle, and needs, whether through a bespoke piece of furniture that sparks joy or a reimagined room layout that makes life flow more seamlessly.
Creating a productive yet comfortable workspace is essential for those who work from home. Similarly, a well-designed bedroom can encourage restful sleep, while a harmonious living room sets the stage for quality family time or entertaining friends.
Your Journey to a Wellbeing-Focused Home
Whether renovating your home, updating a room, or seeking advice on making your space more functional and inspiring, I offer tailored services to meet your needs.
Investing in your home is an investment in yourself. By creating spaces that support your wellbeing, you’re fostering an environment where you can truly thrive. Are you ready to transform your house into a place of beauty, comfort, and wellbeing?
I’d love to help you create a space that feels like home!
